This unoaked Chardonnay offers a rich and creamy mouth feel that leads to lovely soft tropical fruits and orange zest on the palate. Zingy acidity underpins the flavours and keeps them lingering on the palate.

With wonderful aromas of baked apple, the age of the vines has has added complexity, richness and depth of flavour. The palate remains nervy and fresh to the finish. This is a textured and full flavoured expression of Chablis.
With a pale green-golden colour and aromas of pippin apples and fresh almonds these wines are very supple, nicely balanced by discrete acidity and have a good length in the mouth. The wines will be ready for tasting after 3-5 years due to their suppleness but their quality will generally assure their peak for up to 10 or 12 years. Complex and fine, the wines from Vallet Frères have a great following.
This is a special cuvee in honour of his Yves' grandfather, Fernand. The grapes come from four very high quality plots starting from 'Les Pellans' in the south leading to 'Les Pelles Dessous' and 'Au Moulin Landin' next to the village and ending with 'Le Pre de Manche' in the north. With a total of 1.26 hectares under vine and an exposure arcing round from east to south on limestone and marl soils, these wines are rich, well-structured with a long, persistent finish.
Contrary to initial expectations, many of the white Burgundy wines in 2009 are absolutely stunning. They began to show their true qualities only after the summer, when a mineral backbone appeared in support of the graceful, ripe fruit. The wines have a striking purity of fruit, are beautifully understated with a perfect harmony of wood and fruit.
