Light, bright lemon in colour with a lively, freshly cut pear and baked bread character on the nose. Good structure and body, it has lovely elegance on the palate with ripe pears, a touch of sherbet.

BEN is short for the Italian forename Beniamino, which is often bestowed upon the youngest and most beloved son. And this is true of Nittardi’s BEN, a long-cherished dream and, since 2012, their first Maremma white wine. BEN is made from 100% Vermentino, a grape varietal indigenous to Tuscany and found along the entire Mediterranean coast. The ideal microclimate here in Southern Maremma, not far from the Tyrrhenian coast, gives BEN its refreshing taste and subtle hint of saline minerality.

This wine is straw yellow in colour with youthful highlights. It is lightly spiced on the nose from the partial oak ageing, which gives way to a fine, floral and ripe citrus fruit character. On the palate, the wine has good length with ripe pear flavours continuing through to the finish.

Lugarara is produced from a single vineyard with soils of grey marl and a sandy topsoil. The palate is balanced with fresh acidity and good structure. Citrus and almond perfumes follow through to the long finish.

Very inviting spiced honeyed nose and some creamy, lightly spiced aromas as if it had some oak influence. Nutty, citrus, with just discernible floral and apricot notes. Full of flavour and yet restraint, cool and fresh and lingeringly elegant and aromatic.

The soil of La Rocca is unique in Soave being a limestone outcrop in a sea of basalt. Single vineyard made solely from Garganega grapes, this has pure aromas of almonds and honey, with an intense, concentrated palate.

A blend of Viognier, Vermentino and Chardonnay, this is crisp and zesty with tropical fruit, lime and apple flavours. Delicious with seafood.

Beautiful straw gold in appearance. The palate is rich and generous with almond and citrus fruit flavours.

Pale lemon colour and a nose of apples, fresh hay with a hint of vanilla and grapefruit citrus notes. There are orange flower notes to the nose which follow through to the palate with sweet basil, peach and tarte tatin flavours which will develop as the wine ages.

Viorica wine is made entirely from Viorica grapes, harvested manually and vinified by the traditional method. The white wine Viorica de Purcari is a sensory explosion: it has the aroma of acacia and basil flowers, it is fresh, easy and memorable. The golden color, with bright amber shades, is complemented wonderfully with its balanced and velvety taste and the fine taste of muscatel.

This Sauvignon Blanc nearly leaps out of the glass. With red capsicum, passionfruit and fresh herb notes, it’s full and satisfying to taste, with that crisp refreshing, tropical Marlborough finish.

All at only 9.5% alcohol. It’s perfect modern drinking.

This Sauvignon Blanc is pale straw with lemon hues. Lifted aromas of passion fruit and guava dominate the nose, along with notes of citrus and crushed herbs and an underlying wet stone minerality. The wine has vibrant acidity, with plenty of palate weight and length. Ripe, tropical fruit flavours of passion fruit, melon and grapefruit linger on the persistent finish.
