A garnet red colour with raspberry tints. On the palate, ripe cherries & blackcurrants with notes of wild strawberry. Well balanced tannins with a supple texture and beautiful length.

L’exception is a structured, ample and elegant wine; very representative of Beaujolais. A cherry-hued colour, aromas of small red fruits and a harmonious structure make it classic Gamay.

A new classification—Coteaux Bourguignons—was created in 2011 to replace two older classifications.
Essentially, “Coteaux Bourguignons” translates to the “hills of Burgundy,” and wines labelled under this designation have no restrictions attached. That means you can find red, rosé, and white wines that might be a single varietal-wine or a blend of grapes. Reds are usually made from a blend of pinot noir & gamay which go together rather well!
Coteaux Bourguignons allows fruit to be sourced from greater Burgundy & Beaujolais regions. Domaine de la Creuze Noire Coteaux Bourguignons is a blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay which gives an exceptionally smooth soft approachable wine.

Restrained nose with hints of violet and cedary oak. Dark in character, plush and seamless, with delicious mineral-edged, savoury flavours enlivened by forthright acidity.

The bouquet is dominated by notes of ripe fruit. In the mouth it is full and silky with soft, supple tannins.

A light bodied, fruity red with aromas of strawberry jam with tart flavours of cherries and raspberries and ever so light savoury notes. Very Classy!
