Browse by Grape - Glera
Glera is a white variety of grape of Italian origin, which until 2009 was mostly referred to as Prosecco.
Glera is a rather neutral grape variety which is mainly cultivated for use in sparkling Italian wine styles, frizzante or spumante, from the various Prosecco DOCG and DOC areas, although still wines also exist. It is grown mainly in the Veneto region of Italy, traditionally in an area near Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, in the hills north of Treviso.

Soft, scented and grapey, a real revelation for Prosecco. As a "Frizzante", it has a gentle fizz being roughly half the pressure of its full fizz "Spumante" brother.

Proper, grown up Prosecco. A little more structure here, plenty of fresh ripe green citrus with a refreshingly dry, zesty finish.
