Chateau Musar WHITE 2008
7 years in the making, this unique white is a blend of Obaideh and Merwah, the ancestors of Chardonnay and Semillon. Planted between 1920 and 1947 at 1,400m above sea level, the vines remain ungrafted. Fermented and aged in Nevers oak for 9 months, then blended and bottled at the end of its first year, it’s rich yet zesty, like a ‘dry Sauternes’. Decant and serve ‘cellar cool’ (15°C) with smoked salmon, seafood, pâtés or crème patisserie.
