Tasting Note

This perfumed and densely flavoured Burgundy is classic Maranges from two of the estate’s oldest vineyards. It sports a brilliant ruby red colour and complex aromatics of black cherries, raspberry preserves and dried flowers. The palate is long and intensely flavoured with red and black fruit, liquorice and a peppery, spicy finish. There is great body and length with excellent balancing acidity and plenty of soft, smooth tannins that make this a natural partner with flavourful meals like beef or lamb stew. Old-vine, estate-bottled red Burgundy this good always costs more.
