An estate that has more than its fair share of troubles over the centruries, with phylloxera, typhoid and the Spanish Civil War all taking their toll. It used to be the largest producer of quailty wines in Catalonia and still has over 4000 hectares under vine. Wine consultant Miguel Angel de Gregorio is adding his expertise to return Castell del Remei to its rightful place as one of the top estates in the region.
