Ou Hoofgebou Cabernet Sauvignon is an old school Stellenbosch Cabernet. Full bodied and dark fleshy berry fruit in a smooth sheen of oak.

The red clay and rich soils bring softer and plush elegant fruit to the aromatics. They also create tannins which are richer softer and sweeter to the other reds from the Waterford Estate. This blend consists of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Malbec.

Estate Reserve Red Blend (formerly Grand Vin de Glenelly) is the signature red wine of the estate, a blend of Shiraz, Cabernet, Merlot and Petit Verdot.

Kaapzicht's Pinotage comes from 20-year-old bush vines planted in weathered granite soil. The vineyards are all dry land, unirrigated.

A complex blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Cabernet Sauvignon with just a hint of Viognier. An opulent style with super-fine tannins and a luscious palate named for the distinctly chocolately notes on both the nose and palate.

Baking spices, dark chocolate and black, vibrant fruits hint at the power to follow. Complex aromas of pure cassis, meat and oak spice lead to a well-integrated fruit centre with dense, but finely-tuned tannins. This is a wonderful blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Shiraz and 5% each of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot where the components are expressive but well-balanced and the whole is so much more than the parts. Powerful, explosive and medium- to full-bodied with the precision of 2017 shining through to a long-defined finish.

Cabernet Sauvignon is the most suited varietal to Waterford Estate soils, making up 35% of the total plantings.

It is characterized by an upfront perfume, intermingled with concentrated cassis, black cherries and some herbaceousness.

Lady May is Glenelly’s Flagship Estate wine. Elegant and complex, the wine develops flavours of cassis, blackcurrant, dark cherry, touch of graphite and delicate spicy plum. Fresh and vibrant, the evolution of the wine introduces flavours specific to Glenelly’s terroir. Deeply coloured and perfectly balanced, the wine displays an exquisite structure with velvety tannins and a very good ageing capability. Can age during 12 to 18 years.
