All the spice and richness you would expect but also full of fresh juicy fruit.

In the glass this wine is a deep cherry red colour. Vibrant, ripe Pinot on the nose, with cherry, raspberry and a touch of herbs. On the palate, the wine is supple, finessed, fruit forward, with a slightly savoury finish.

The 2018 Rully Rouge has a slightly smudged, savoury nose. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a little hardness to contend with at first, but there is a fine structure on the finish. Drink over the next four to five years.

MAGNUM (150cl)
High up in the ‘slopes of schist’ in the rugged, mountainous terroir of Séguret lies a single vineyard so predominantly planted with Grenache Noir (intermingled only here and there with some Syrah) that the resulting wine – Les Coteaux Schisteux – comes close to being one of the purest expressions of Grenache Noir in the southern Rhône Valley.

Cranberries, cassis, lavender, fine blackberry confit with a touch of tobacco in the background. Medium-bodied, fine tannins, fresh structure, mineral and accessible.

Château Maucoil Châteauneuf-du-Pape Tradition Rouge Organic wine is delightful and intense, with lovely balance and great elegance. Made from organically grown grapes, the wine has lovely ripe spicy fruit, red berry flavours with a herby edge and so is a classic CNP very much of its place, warm and rich but well balanced too with a nice lift to the finish. Absolutely delicious with beef casserole or mushroom risotto.

The Pillot family have been growing grapes in Chassagne-Montrachet since the 19th century. Laurent, who has been in charge of the domaine for over ten years, is the 5th generation. Today, the domaine comprises nearly 15 hectares and covers over 22 different appellations. Their modern, temperature controlled winery, on the outskirts of the village, was built in 1995, but still appears state-of-the-art and has recently been extended. He has now been joined by his young son, Adrien, who is full of great ideas - having worked in South Africa (Hamilton-Russell), New Zealand, Oregon and Australia - including longer elevages for some of the white wines.
Laurent strongly believes in low yields and a strict form of viticulture, which he describes as being “80% organic”. Any necessary treatments are kept to the very minimum possible.

Started in 1910 by Jean-Baptiste Pillot, the domaine is now run by Jean-Marc who has quietly turned his domaine into one of the finest of Chassagne Montrachet. Smooth and ripe, delicious to drink now and over the next few years.

Since the elevation of Cairanne to a southern Rhône cru, this first release of 'La Côte Sauvage' continues to be characterised by its finesse and finely-grained texture, due in part to the famous ‘argilo-calcaire’ of our hilltop vineyards such as La Pauline and Les Six Terrasses, slow winemaking methods and gentle maturation in different sized barrels of old French oak.

The wine sets an incredibly high bar for Sancerre rouge, if not Pinot Noir in the entire Loire Valley.

Well-structured, juicy and bursting with energy, showing cherry, raspberry and spice flavors, with stony, chalky notes. Though this red is firm, the lively acidity drives the long, mouthwatering finish

A nice nose with a mix of fresh fruits, floral notes and spices. A very beautiful clarity of the fruit. On the palate, the tannins are polished and round. A nice balance between freshness, fruitiness and a silky tannic structure.

Exhibiting aromas of rich currant fruit and creamy new oak, the 2019 Siran is medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, with lively acids and ripe, powdery tannins that assert themselves on the youthfully chewy finish. This is a flavourful, nicely balanced wine that will reward a bit of bottle age.

Dark in colour, with a powerful nose of ripe black fruits and violet notes. An elegant and complex palate. A dense bouquet with a beautiful tannic base, fruity and fresh on the finish, well balanced.

Well-structured, concentrated, and full-bodied, it offers a classic southern Rhone aromatic display of ground pepper, garrigue, cherry liqueur, plums, and cedar with sweet, expansive, and pure fruit flavours and excellent delineation

Givry is one of the premium red wine producing appellations in the Cote Chalonnaise producing approachable and refined wines. Pinot Noir is sourced from Southern and Southwestern exposed slopes at 850 feet above sea level and Eastern and Southeastern sun exposure at 836 feet above sea level. Primary fermentation in stainless steel tanks with light punch downs and aged in barrel (70% new) for one year with one racking before bottling.

Pommard, that sonorous name, generous and evocative of an iconic Burgundy village and vineyard. Located between Beaune and Volnay, Pommard wines are the very symbol of Burgundy red wines and, since the Middle Ages, a benchmark, "The Flower of the wines of Beaune".

The fine Pinot Noir of Volnay is expressed here with delicate complexity. The terroir gives a round wine with red current and spice characters. A full-bodied wine, vigorous and elegant, able to be drunk relatively early or after a few years aging.

Gentle, yet sophisticated, with highly complex red cherry, spice and freshly ground pepper flavours.

A beautiful marriage between elegance and power.

The 2019 Givry Crausot 1er Cru has an intense bouquet, the fruit darker than the à Vigne Rouge, very well defined with a touch more spiciness. The palate is well balanced with sappy red fruit, fine acidity, quite fleshy towards the finish with cranberry and raspberry lingering on the aftertaste. This remains a quality Givry from one of Givry’s best producers.

A minute 0.48-hectare parcel from vines with an average age of 30-years-old. The vineyard is situated to the north of the appellation and is without doubt one of the best parcels in Beaune, little surprise it was revered by the by the dukes of Burgundy and is where the parcel takes its name.

Dark and concentrated aromas of black and bramble fruits with added toasted oak spice. Powerful and intense, yet retains excellent vibrancy from the silky, soft tannins and forward, ripe fruit that combine to keep everything in check. Further dark black fruits fuse with toasted cedar and black pepper spice.

The 2015 vintage comes with a nose of baked black cherry fruit and cigar box. This follows through on to the palate with a medium body, lovely rich fruit and well balanced earthy taste. Soft tannins on the mid palate and a medium finish.

This is the Second wine of Château Léoville Poyferré, it benefits from the same care as its big brother, both in the vineyard and in the cellars. Bursting with fruit, this bright, attractive wine is accessible in its youth.

Garnet red in colour. The nose is extremely refined with good vivacity, opening with smoky notes evolving to black fruit, gingerbread and humus that weave together in an intricate complexity. Immense verticality and integrity in the mouth, with the same black fruit aromas evocative of blackcurrant and blackberry, followed by expressive notes of garrigue, cinnamon and pepper, all underpinned by an incredible freshness that is characteristic of the Domaine’s terroirs. The tannins are exceptionally fine-grained, but their presence and their persistence are astounding. A superbly balanced wine that promises remarkable ageing potential.
