A top notch wild Bandol!

Great finesse on the nose, wich releases a mixture of red fruit, fig and soft spicy note. On the palate, the wine shows great elegance and a lovely weave of red fruit and very fine tannins.

Opulence is the word that springs to mind, stemming from the delicate aromas, with notes of plum, and from the deep red colour. This continues in the complex palate which is both dense and refined, mixing depth and power. Traditional wooden vats are used for fermentation and both new and old barrels for ageing, nine or ten years bottle age will see this perfected!

A soft and silky Pinot Noir from Burgundy. This red wine has sweet, ripe raspberries and cherries on the nose carried through to the palate. Slightly spicy, elegant and complex.

Merlot-based, this wine has great structure with mouth-filling spicy fruit and fine length. Lovely plummy fruit is backed by fine tannins and the added nuance of Cabernet Franc.

Slender and fresh with stony minerality, blackberries, wild raspberries and a green hint of wild blueberry bushes and compost.

Wonderfully complex nose, with aromas of cassis and plums, swathed in savoury nuance with hints of truffle, roasted meats coffee and fresh leather. Rich yet graceful with succulent, soft, velvety tannins. At its peak right now, this delicious red still possesses plenty of life and will continue to drink for a few more years yet.

Rich burgundy color with slight browning on the edges. Nose of earth, ripe raspberries and tobacco. Flavors are similar but with the addition of smoke, brown sugar and bay leaf. Slight tartness on the perimeter of the mouthfeel. Delicate in feel, with a finish that dissipates into a slight tartness.

The Mercurey V.V. from Raquillet is made from 60-year-old vines and offers a ripe, spicy, and densely fruited nose of violets, dark berries and dried herbs. In the mouth, dense, delicious and velvety flavors with fine complexity on the impressively long finish.

A full, firm, ripe left-bank claret that shows style and richness. Superb vintage.

From a vineyard of over 60 year old vines, high up on an east-south-east facing slope. More up front flavour compared to the Vasées. Good tension. Again, not plush. It has a serious approach. Energetic acidity throughout. The mineral character is particularly evident in the finish. 40% new wood here. Cherry fruit, and cherry-skin tannins on the finish. Concentrated fruit mixed with sou-bois, with fine tension.

Rich, spicy fruit with a solid structure from one of the best estates in the region. Les Racines is a parcel selection of the oldest vines.

All the spice and richness you would expect but also full of fresh juicy fruit.

The 2018 Rully Rouge has a slightly smudged, savoury nose. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a little hardness to contend with at first, but there is a fine structure on the finish. Drink over the next four to five years.

In the glass this wine is a deep cherry red colour. Vibrant, ripe Pinot on the nose, with cherry, raspberry and a touch of herbs. On the palate, the wine is supple, finessed, fruit forward, with a slightly savoury finish.

Cranberries, cassis, lavender, fine blackberry confit with a touch of tobacco in the background. Medium-bodied, fine tannins, fresh structure, mineral and accessible.

MAGNUM (150cl)
High up in the ‘slopes of schist’ in the rugged, mountainous terroir of Séguret lies a single vineyard so predominantly planted with Grenache Noir (intermingled only here and there with some Syrah) that the resulting wine – Les Coteaux Schisteux – comes close to being one of the purest expressions of Grenache Noir in the southern Rhône Valley.

Château Maucoil Châteauneuf-du-Pape Tradition Rouge Organic wine is delightful and intense, with lovely balance and great elegance. Made from organically grown grapes, the wine has lovely ripe spicy fruit, red berry flavours with a herby edge and so is a classic CNP very much of its place, warm and rich but well balanced too with a nice lift to the finish. Absolutely delicious with beef casserole or mushroom risotto.

The Pillot family have been growing grapes in Chassagne-Montrachet since the 19th century. Laurent, who has been in charge of the domaine for over ten years, is the 5th generation. Today, the domaine comprises nearly 15 hectares and covers over 22 different appellations. Their modern, temperature controlled winery, on the outskirts of the village, was built in 1995, but still appears state-of-the-art and has recently been extended. He has now been joined by his young son, Adrien, who is full of great ideas - having worked in South Africa (Hamilton-Russell), New Zealand, Oregon and Australia - including longer elevages for some of the white wines.
Laurent strongly believes in low yields and a strict form of viticulture, which he describes as being “80% organic”. Any necessary treatments are kept to the very minimum possible.

Started in 1910 by Jean-Baptiste Pillot, the domaine is now run by Jean-Marc who has quietly turned his domaine into one of the finest of Chassagne Montrachet. Smooth and ripe, delicious to drink now and over the next few years.

The wine sets an incredibly high bar for Sancerre rouge, if not Pinot Noir in the entire Loire Valley.

MAGNUM (150cl)
Since the elevation of Cairanne to a southern Rhône cru, this first release of 'La Côte Sauvage' continues to be characterised by its finesse and finely-grained texture, due in part to the famous ‘argilo-calcaire’ of our hilltop vineyards such as La Pauline and Les Six Terrasses, slow winemaking methods and gentle maturation in different sized barrels of old French oak.

Well-structured, juicy and bursting with energy, showing cherry, raspberry and spice flavors, with stony, chalky notes. Though this red is firm, the lively acidity drives the long, mouthwatering finish

A nice nose with a mix of fresh fruits, floral notes and spices. A very beautiful clarity of the fruit. On the palate, the tannins are polished and round. A nice balance between freshness, fruitiness and a silky tannic structure.

Dark in colour, with a powerful nose of ripe black fruits and violet notes. An elegant and complex palate. A dense bouquet with a beautiful tannic base, fruity and fresh on the finish, well balanced.
