Home of what are considered to be the world's greatest white wines, all of which are made from Chardonnay. Some Aligote is grown but the resultant wine is poor incomparison with the best whites of the area. High quality reds are also made, from Pinot Noir; these wines are a little softer in general than those of the Côte de Nuits, barring Pommard, which tens to be the fullest of all Burgundian reds. The most famous vineyards are Corton-Charlemagne, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Aloxe-Corton.

This has a very fine nose with delicate floral notes as well as apples, pears and a wonderful citrus-blossom aroma. On the palate this is elegant and mineral with delicious white fruit character and a lovely saline finish.

The nose has wonderful grapefruit zest bitterness, with some gentle floral influenced honey. The palate in bright and clean acidity, and a voluptuous depth of stone fruit on the mid-palate. with subtle smokiness. It is a highly complex village wine that should evolve well for many years.

Jean-Marc uses barrels for three years (a third new, a third one year and a third two years) which brings harmony and balance to the wine. Floral aromas and red apple carrying through to a well textured palate.
