Browse by Grape - Cabernet Franc
One of the lesser known Bordeaux red varieties although its more prominent in the Loire Valley. Despite this the legendary name of Château Cheval Blanc has occasionally had a 100% Cabernet Franc make up in its wine. Normally blended in Bordeaux but often bottled undiluted in the Loire, this rich red grape should produce a wine with a raspberry character with more apparent fruitiness than its more Famous Cabernet Sauvignon cousin. Now planted across the wine globe, with worthy mentions going to New Zealand and Australia.

A marvellous, lean, moustached celebration of the mighty Cab Franc. Meet Captain Francis Frobisher, otherwise known as CABARET FRANK. A 'fun' celebration to the marvellous, lean and mighty Cabernet Franc grape variety. The styling is following a slightly 'Victoriana' theme, a bygone era and all that with some fabulous facial furniture at the nub of the story. “In the late 19th century, Captain Francis Frobisher discovered he had a rare gift – he was able to cultivate a variety of wondrous moustaches which took on a life of their own. He became known as Cabaret Frank and was the toast of society with ladies often fainting at the sight of his many and varied performing moustaches.” (It's all false of course…including the tache!).
