Filey Bay STR Finish is totally different from anything we’ve released so far. It takes the citrus and caramel flavours from the bourbon casks and weaves them with the red fruits of the Rioja barriques, creating a complex whisky with spice and depth that’s also light and floral.
The initials STR in the name refer to "shaved, toasted and re-charred" casks.

Soft, spicy and warming with notes of honeycomb, orange marmalade, dried fruits and cocoa.

Filey Bay Yorkshire Day 2022 brings together three casks types. From the ex-Oloroso casks come rich flavours of dried fruit and spices. The ex-Moscatel maturation imparts honey and sweetness. And lastly, the ex-Bourbon casks balance and soften these big sherry notes.

Sugar puffs with full cream milk on the nose, this has elements of grapefruit juice, pineapple and honey as well. The palate is sweet with a balance of vanilla, dried apricot, and white chocolate. The finish is smooth with the oak drying spices kicking in to give a medium length finish

Big Peat is a marriage of Single Malt Scotch Whiskies only from the island of Islay. With Caol Ila spirit bringing sweetness, Bowmore the perfect balance, Ardbeg a medicinal, earthy quality and Port Ellen, a degree of elegance, Big Peat represents all that is Islay in a bottle.

Nose: Opens with a buttery sweet quality layered with vanilla in a home-baking style.

Palate: Smooth, fresh & sweet with ripe fruit developing to spiced oranges.

Finish: Medium-long, with spices more apparent now, running to ginger and pink pepper.

Independently owned, the distillery first opened in 1949 near Blackford in Perthshire but was mothballed between 1995 and 2011
This is an independent bottling of 414 bottles from a single refill Hogshead by Douglas Laing (Cask DL12131).

NOSE: A delightful blend of wood and chocolate with hints of sherry. Add a little bit of water to get the fragrance of sweet apple and warming spice.

PALATE: Warm and comforting earthy notes with a juicy fruit taste.

FINISH: Medium to long.

Fettercairn is one of the few Eastern Highland distilleries still operating and has enjoyed some serious investment from owners Whyte & Mackay in recent years. This 8 year old improves upon the old distillery bottling.
This 8 year old Fettercairn single malt whisky, bottled in 2021, is one of 410 bottles aged exclusively in a refill hogshead.

Nose:
Honey, barley, nuts and malted milk biscuits

Palate:
Fudge and sweet spices, think honey and lemon Hot Toddy's with all the trimmings

Finish:
Dry, mellow and sweet finish with malt and honey showing

Epicurean blended malt is made using a selection of single malt Scotch whiskies from Lowland distilleries which have all been aged for at least 12 years.
Nose: Honeydew melon, mixed peels and a whiff of summer meadows.

Palate: Peach, pear and more citrus, with hints of biscuit dough and caraway in support.

Finish: Subtly sweet with brown sugar and white grape.
