A blend of 70% Corvina, 20% Rondinella and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from low-yielding vineyards in Verona. Half of the Corvina grapes are left on the vine for longer, to concentrate the sugar and flavour. About 30% of the blend is aged for 12 months in American and French barriques. The nose shows complex aromas, reminiscent of prune, cherry and redcurrant; the palate is supple with a long finish.

You can see Lake Garda from the top of La Grola vineyard which was bought by Giovanni Allegrini in 1979 to create Valpolicella’s first single vineyard Corvina. Intense yet elegant with a bouquet of wild berries, juniper, tobacco and coffee.

The wine has a lovely and intense dark garnet colour. It exudes aromas and flavours of black cherries, chocolate, coffee, and raisins, along with a note of almonds. Despite a formidable structure, the palate is velvety, spicy and elegant, with an extremely long and lingering finish.
