Deep, dark and brooding - this wine explodes with damson and blackberry flavours

A lovely, soft blackcurrant fruit core is backed up by a touch of woodspice in this quaffable red from the heart of Spain.

The bouquet in the nose carries hints of thorn, blackberry and red forest fruits accented by dairy tones couched in fine creamy oakwood and vanilla against a toasted background. The palate is fresh and fruity, backed by earthy tannins and a good persistence.

A wine made from grapes of the mentioned varieties which are later mixed to make a blend that combines the Cabernet Franc (concentrated and generous)and Tempranillo (elegant and fresh) and the bouquet provided by the four months oak ageing. Post bottled to continue the process of ageing in bottle.

After its duration in cask for 15 months, it is rounded in the bottle for a further 3 months. A broad, expansively flavoured Rioja.
