To make fine Gigondas, you have got to be high.
What we mean to say is that to make great Gigondas, you must farm the highest, poorest, coolest, chalkiest terroirs that line the Dentelles de Montmirail, high above the village. So upon learning that all of Domaine la Bouïssiere's vineyards are high above the village, we knew we were on to something. Brothers Thierry et Giles Faravel carry on the family tradition and push the Gigondas boundaries as far as possible, creating stunning wines along the way.
