A tasty drop of bitter cherries and rounded tannins - sumptuous! This is the perfect accompaniment to Italian antipasti, soups, pasta dishes and to the wide variety of dishes that the Mediterranean area has to offer. The Capitel della Crosara vineyard lies in the heart of the Valpolicella region and gives its name to Montresor's top Amarone and Ripassso. This is an excellent example with bright, fresh cherry fruit.

Allegrini’s take on the “Ripasso” method is made from a portion of grapes dried just for this wine (and not from the Amarone pomace). It's a smooth, velvety wine with ripe, juicy dark fruit and silky tannins.

The wine has a lovely and intense dark garnet colour. It exudes aromas and flavours of black cherries, chocolate, coffee, and raisins, along with a note of almonds. Despite a formidable structure, the palate is velvety, spicy and elegant, with an extremely long and lingering finish.

Accessible and delicious example of a modern style of Amarone in a distinctive black frosted bottle.

Amarone is the result of Allegrini’s skill in creating a modern wine with a strong connection to tradition. Sourced from Classico area hillside vineyards, grapes are dried for a rich, powerful wine with characteristic dried cherry aromas and a tremendous structure.

Recioto Giovanni Allegrini is deep ruby red in color and has a spicy bouquet with hints of dried fruit. It is full and velvety on the palate.
