The intense ruby colour and almond accents produce a complex bouquet dominated by cherries, blackberries, and currants, complemented by dried plums, red pepper, and savoury notes of moist wood and leather. The full and fruity taste captures the elegance and refinement, and gives a velvet aftertaste.

Saperavi, the famous unmistakably fragrant Georgian variety, is noted for its strong character and authenticity of fulminant taste. The wine of an intense ruby with purple reflections reveals explosive aromas of plum and well-ripened fruit.

This Pinot Noir is ruby red in colour. It displays sweet dark cherries with hints of plum, pencil shavings and toasty oak. An elegant, medium-bodied wine with well rounded tannins and a balanced persistent finish. The wine has potential to develop further complexity with careful cellaring.

The deep alluvial gravels of the Martinborough Terraces and a blend of clones grown in a very sheltered spot produce this classic example of New World Pinot.

Constantly picking up gongs for brilliant value for money (Wine Spectator and others), Ciconia Tinto combines approachability with Alentejo's most likeable features of rich, soft fruit, with a bit of roast and dried fruit notes.

Ciconia, for the benefit of non-twitchers, is the latin genus for the stork, and Ciconia Ciconia is the white stork, which so likes to breed in this region.

Red wines from the Dao should always demonstrate a certain succulence from a combination of altitude and granitic soils, but Maias Tinto goes the extra mile. At these even higher vineyards (around 650m), Jaen (Tinta Mencia) captures in the glass delicious crunchy fruit in this medium bodied wine.
