This is an exquisite vintage for Chateau Musar and will go down as one of the estate's greatest. This is fragrant and pure, with that rare combination of intensity and freshness which marks it out as a truly great wine. It will provide much drinking pleasure now and for at least another decade.

Deep burgundy colour with a nose of mature fruits, plums, cherries, figs, cinnamon and
cloves. The aromas follow through to a palate full of rich black and red fruits – plums and
damsons dominate with pomegranate, baked cherries and Christmas spices.
An intensely concentrated powerful vintage with fine smooth tannins and a spicy,
warming finish.

Pale lemon colour and a nose of apples, fresh hay with a hint of vanilla and grapefruit citrus notes. There are orange flower notes to the nose which follow through to the palate with sweet basil, peach and tarte tatin flavours which will develop as the wine ages.

Released in the spring of 2016, this vintage has a deep scarlet colour and a nose of blackberries, Assam tea, dark chocolate and mulled berries.
On the palate there are rich black and red fruits, especially blackcurrants, cherries, damsons and figs with warm cinnamon spice and a hint of mint. This vintage is also characterised by a smoky, earthiness. The tannins are well integrated, there is good acidity and a long, dry finish.

This famous cabernet, cinsault and carignan wine from Lebanon is particularly exotic in 2007. Lower yields and a summer heatwave resulted in a wine which rests its quality on power, muscle and concentrated dark fruit and spice

The 2017 vintage looks to be very promising indeed, the wines of this year are unique, yet retaining classical Chateau Musar character. Three factors come to our minds, the similarity in style of the different decades ending in 7, the taste of the last vineyard of Cabernet Sauvignon harvested and powerful aromas. It has a bright ruby colour and there are sweet red cherries, mulberries and plums on the nose with a hint of tea tree and liquorice. The tannins are soft and well-integrated and this vintage has good acidity, depth of fruit and a long finish. Cellared well, it will age beautifully for decades.

Released 7 years later in the spring of 2015, the wine has a beautiful rich scarlet colour with an alluring nose of black and red fruits, cherries, coffee, leather and cloves. A good natural intensity with well integrated tannins and good acidity – this is a rich, warm, concentrated vintage of Chateau Musar showing an abundance of fruit, energy and considerable finesse. Mature and balanced with a long finish.

Dark blood red colour with a rich, fragrant fruit nose; mulberries, black
cherries, plums with a hint of mocha. The palate is very intense and
concentrated, it’s full of volume and characterised by forest and black
fruits with elegant spice. The tannins are soft and juicy and it has a
lengthy finish.

Deep ruby in colour, it has a complex, intriguing array of aromas: toasted bread, cigar box, fresh tea, plums and Eastern spices. On the palate, there are mature fruits: plums, figs and cherries with hints of tea leaves and dark chocolate. The wine is intense; the first taste releasing complex notes of currants, cherries and spice, with a hint of game and finishing with a cleansing acidity.

A beautiful deep, ruby hue with lots of almost confected cherry, blackcurrant and cranberries on the nose with a hint of liquorice. The palate has an explosion of brambly and hedgerow fruits with blueberries and cherries - this is a mid-weight vintage from Chateau Musar with excellent acidity and fine tannins

Made from Cabernet and Cinsault grown at 3000 feet, it has the character and nobility of an exotic, eccentric Bordeaux.

A more elegant and restrained style of Musar - drinking beautifully already.
