Barolo Lecinquevigne distinguishing features are a hue of ruby red with orange-tinted reflections and an intense aroma of rose, leather and tobacco in sequence with hints of violet and tar emerging.
Its taste is ample and enveloping with a feeling of softness and a long, persistent savour prevailing in the mouth.

Remarkably supple considering its youthfulness, this Brunello shows the classic characters of sweet toasty oak and earthy fruit that sangiovese typically produces. Complex and ripe tannic structure, this is a wine that will develop in bottle for a number of years to come but can give great pleasure now if decanted for a couple of hours prior to drinking.

Amarone is the result of Allegrini’s skill in creating a modern wine with a strong connection to tradition. Sourced from Classico area hillside vineyards, grapes are dried for a rich, powerful wine with characteristic dried cherry aromas and a tremendous structure.

Medium red in colour with brick tones. On the nose, this wine is all spices and cloves. On the palate, it is lean with a great structure. It has flavours of bitter cherries and earthy liquorice. The finish is good with a lingering persistence in the mouth.

La Poja covers 2.6 hectares at the top of La Grola. It is a rare plot of limestone, rich in iron and magnesium. Giovanni Allegrini decided immediately that this was going to be his top cru, made from 100% Corvina.

The wine veers towards the modern and international side of the Brunello style spectrum. Thanks to the high caliber of the vintage, style does not trump quality. The bouquet peels back to reveal black cherry, black currant, spice, cigar box and rosemary twig. Distant notes of chocolate and toasted almond play supporting roles. The wine offers extraordinary texture with firm tannins that are balanced out against the soft plushness of the fruit. This is a terrific Brunello.

100% Cinsault, this has fresh strawberry, raspberry and redcurrant fruit flavours. Delicious with white meat or pork.

A blend of Viognier, Vermentino and Chardonnay, this is crisp and zesty with tropical fruit, lime and apple flavours. Delicious with seafood.

A blend of Cinsault, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, its unoaked, full of fresh primary fruit flavours whilst retaining the essential Musar style.

Pale lemon colour and a nose of apples, fresh hay with a hint of vanilla and grapefruit citrus notes. There are orange flower notes to the nose which follow through to the palate with sweet basil, peach and tarte tatin flavours which will develop as the wine ages.

The 2017 vintage looks to be very promising indeed, the wines of this year are unique, yet retaining classical Chateau Musar character. Three factors come to our minds, the similarity in style of the different decades ending in 7, the taste of the last vineyard of Cabernet Sauvignon harvested and powerful aromas. It has a bright ruby colour and there are sweet red cherries, mulberries and plums on the nose with a hint of tea tree and liquorice. The tannins are soft and well-integrated and this vintage has good acidity, depth of fruit and a long finish. Cellared well, it will age beautifully for decades.

Released 7 years later in the spring of 2015, the wine has a beautiful rich scarlet colour with an alluring nose of black and red fruits, cherries, coffee, leather and cloves. A good natural intensity with well integrated tannins and good acidity – this is a rich, warm, concentrated vintage of Chateau Musar showing an abundance of fruit, energy and considerable finesse. Mature and balanced with a long finish.

Dark blood red colour with a rich, fragrant fruit nose; mulberries, black
cherries, plums with a hint of mocha. The palate is very intense and
concentrated, it’s full of volume and characterised by forest and black
fruits with elegant spice. The tannins are soft and juicy and it has a
lengthy finish.

The palate has an explosion of brambly and hedgerow fruits with blueberries and cherries - this is a mid-weight vintage from Chateau Musar with excellent acidity and fine tannins
