A no frills red and a stalwart of Boutinot's house wine offering, Cuvée Jean-Paul Rouge captures the magic combination of drinkability and complexity.

Each vintage, from the base in Cairanne, selected exceptional Grenache and Syrah are picked from the best Côtes du Rhône Villages to make Les Coteaux, which is then enriched with classified wine from Séguret, Sablet and the cru of Cairanne.

Aromas of boxwood, wild juniper and cistus flowers give way to notes of red fruit, cherry and redcurrant. The sensation in the mouth is delicate, smooth and balanced with a succulently fruity and spicy finish.

From Cairanne, the Southern Rhone’s newest Cru, Les Six is all about elegance and the expression of six different grape varieties (in an appellation usually dominated by just two) blended together in the tradition of yesteryear.

An elegant nose of black fruit is followed by a remarkable palate of blackcurrant, thyme, liquorice and tobacco characters. Warming peppery spice on the finish makes this perfect with casseroles.

High up the ‘slopes of schist’ in the rugged mountainous terroir of Séguret lies a single vineyard so predominantly planted with Grenache Noir (intermingled only here and there with some Syrah) that the resulting wine – Les Coteaux Schisteux – comes close to being one of the purest expressions of Grenache Noir in the southern Rhône valley.

Rich, spicy fruit with a solid structure from one of the best estates in the region. Les Racines is a parcel selection of the oldest vines.
