Kaapzicht's Pinotage comes from 20-year-old bush vines planted in weathered granite soil. The vineyards are all dry land, unirrigated.

The Kriekbult Pinotage expresses an abundance of black fruit flavours from blackberries to cassis with balanced oak aromas from barrel maturation. Full bodied style with intense colour and prominent varietal character, rich plummy flavours and a nice soft velvety finish.

Traditionally whole berry fermented, this Pinot matures in french oak casks for 15 months. Ruby red in colour with notes of cherry, wild red berries, crushed black pepper, cinnamon and violets on the nose. Firm in structure, the intense flavours expand with time to extraordinary opulence and length on the palate.
