High up in the ‘slopes of schist’ in the rugged, mountainous terroir of Séguret lies a single vineyard so predominantly planted with Grenache Noir (intermingled only here and there with some Syrah) that the resulting wine – Les Coteaux Schisteux – comes close to being one of the purest expressions of Grenache Noir in the southern Rhône Valley.

Château Maucoil Châteauneuf-du-Pape Tradition Rouge Organic wine is delightful and intense, with lovely balance and great elegance. Made from organically grown grapes, the wine has lovely ripe spicy fruit, red berry flavours with a herby edge and so is a classic CNP very much of its place, warm and rich but well balanced too with a nice lift to the finish. Absolutely delicious with beef casserole or mushroom risotto.

Medium bodied, dry red wine blend with a deep ruby colour. Fruity aromas of ripe cherries and plum on the nose. Refreshing palate with notes of sour cherry and red fruit, followed by a long mineral finish. Great structure, firm acidity. An elegant and balanced, fruit- driven wine.

This delicious red has been recently upgraded to DOC status, meaning lower yields and greater concentration. With rich brambly fruits backed by fine tannins, this is a ripe style that pairs well with food, and offers incredible value for money.

This wine is ruby red in colour, with purple hues. This Negroamaro is intense with notes of blackberries and blackcurrants. It is medium bodied and velvety, with good balance and savoury notes on the finish.

This Primitivo displays aromas of dried fruit, exotic spices, white pepper and chocolate. The mouth feel is round and intense with layers upon layers of soft elegant tannins, vanilla, prunes, coffee and underbrush. The finish is elegant and persistent and extremely well balanced. The red clay and rich soils bring softer and plush elegant fruit to the aromatics. They also create tannins which are richer softer and sweeter to the other reds from the Waterford Estate. This blend consists of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Malbec.

It is characterized by an upfront perfume, intermingled with concentrated cassis, black cherries and some herbaceousness.
