Made only when our assemblage tastings of La Côte Sauvage reveal two outstanding barrels - 'Deux Barriques' - that merit bottling in their own right. From the heart of the Loire Valley this wine is pure opulence. All the fruit is from a small limestone-rich vineyard in the heart of the Loire. Honeyed pear, quince, yellow apple dominate the palate with a slight smoky quality. The palate is rich yet zippy, complex yet fresh. Try with shellfish or pork. This will cellar for another 10 years or so. Biodynamic.
