Browse by Grape - Chardonnay
Burgundy's famous white variety planted all over the world. It produces arguably the world's greatest white wines - rich, full-bodied and capable of ageing at the top end, but dull, flabby and over-oaked at the bottom. Flavours of tropical fruit (pineapples and melons), smoke, spice, caramel, marzipan and butterscotch are apparent in the best examples, whereas many low quality Chardonnays are shrouded in oak to disguise the lack of character. Also used in Champagne.

Ready to drink
Pale yellow colour with greenish reflections, denoting a good evolution in bottle. Very fine, persistent bubbles that form a perfect crown. The nose stands out for its freshness and elegance. Aromas of ripe white stone fruit, such as apple, with subtle floral notes and a delicate touch of pastry. The palate is balanced, fresh and creamy. Smooth mouthfeel, given by a good integration of the bubbles, appearing pleasant toasted notes and an aniseed finish.
