Browse by Grape - Pinot Gris/Pinot Grigio/Rulander
One of the great grapes of Alsace (sometimes called Tokay Pinot Gris) where it produces highly perfumed, rich and powerful whites of great body and complexity. A mutation of Pinot Noir, it used to find its way into red Burgundy as a result of its presence in the vineyard among the Pinot Noir vines. It is known as Pinot Beurot in Burgundy and is still occasionally used in red Burgundy. Also known as Malvoisie in Switzerland and Pinot Grigio in Italy and Rulander in Germany.

Pinot Gris/Pinot Grigio/Rulander
Sweetness: 2 - Dry
Light, bright lemon in colour with a lively, freshly cut pear and baked bread character on the nose. Good structure and body, it has lovely elegance on the palate with ripe pears, a touch of sherbet.
