Domaine Felettig began in 1965 when Henri Felettig’s parents gave him 2 hectares of vines and 1 hectare of cassis (currants). In 1992 Henri and his wife Reine purchased additional vineyards bringing the total of their land to 9.72 hectares. More vineyards were purchased in 1995 including Vosne-Romanée Village, a Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru, and a Gevrey-Chambertin “La Justice”. The year 2001 saw the addition of a vineyard in Nuits St. Georges which meant their vineyards now spread from Gevrey-Chambertin to Vosne-Romanée, plus Hautes Côtes des Nuits and Beaune; a total of 10 hectares in the most prestigious appellations.
This is certainly a domaine on the rise!
Today the domaine is run by Henri’s son and daughter, Gilbert and Christine.

Bright garnet in the glass with hints of crimson, the nose opens with a blend of dark red cherry, plum and luxurious brambly fruit layered with forest floor, subtle leather and spiced oak. On the palate, it shows medium to full body, fresh acidity and a fine structural core: ripe fruit is cushioned by smooth, polished tannins. Notes of clove, underbrush and a touch of earth give it depth. The finish is persistent and elegant with the fruit lingering alongside a whisper of spice and minerality. A wine that is approachable now but also has the bones to reward several years of ageing.

Karl Johner Pinot Noir is a made in the Burgundian style – the focus at Johner is on wines full of structure but with purity and elegance.

Perfume, elegant fruit flavours, and soft ripe tannins are all hallmarks of this exceptional Pinot Noir from Escarpment, crafted in a Burgundian style.

The deep alluvial gravels of the Martinborough Terraces and a blend of clones grown in a very sheltered spot produce this classic example of New World Pinot.

This wine is bright garnet in colour with aromas of raspberry, sweet cherry, cedar, wild thyme and mushroom. The palate is rich in texture and complemented by red and black berry, wild herb and earthy flavours. This Pinot Noir is well structured with silky, enticing layers.

Fruit for Kupe Pinot Noir comes from Escarpment’s close-planted vineyard on Te Muna Road, Martinborough, vines which have been their pride and joy since being planted in 1999.

Noble 5 is an intense ruby red wine with an aromatic complexity and taste. Blackcurrant, cherry and cherry jam flavours are going hand in hand with woody notes from the oak barrels. Full bodied and opulent with silky tannins.

This is Paul Cluver's entry level Pinot Noir, so named to replicate the village classification in Burgundy.

Bouchard Finlayson's Hannibal blend was originally prompted by the classic taste and palate of Italian varieties: Sangiovese and Nebbiolo.

Traditionally whole berry fermented, this Pinot matures in french oak casks for 15 months. Ruby red in colour with notes of cherry, wild red berries, crushed black pepper, cinnamon and violets on the nose. Firm in structure, the intense flavours expand with time to extraordinary opulence and length on the palate.

Profound, rich and multi dimensional.

This forward drinking Pinot shows dried cranberry/berry fruit with earth and tobacco notes. The body is medium weight yet carries immense waves of flavours, including sarsaparilla, pomegranate and smoke. A well-integrated wine that is superb now. A wonderful accompaniment to thick, oak-grilled pork chops, wild game, or coq au vin.

Seductive and alluring this cool climate Pinot has smooth complexity as well as delicate silky flavours. Brilliant ruby red in colour, light on the nose with aromas of raspberry and floral notes. The palate is smooth with plum, raspberry, blackberry and black cherry fruits abound. Supple tannins give structure to this medium bodied wine followed by a lovely and long luxurious finish.
