Started in 1910 by Jean-Baptiste Pillot, the domaine is now run by Jean-Marc who has quietly turned his domaine into one of the finest of Chassagne Montrachet. Smooth and ripe, delicious to drink now and over the next few years.

Pommard, that sonorous name, generous and evocative of an iconic Burgundy village and vineyard. Located between Beaune and Volnay, Pommard wines are the very symbol of Burgundy red wines and, since the Middle Ages, a benchmark, "The Flower of the wines of Beaune".

A minute 0.48-hectare parcel from vines with an average age of 30-years-old. The vineyard is situated to the north of the appellation and is without doubt one of the best parcels in Beaune, little surprise it was revered by the by the dukes of Burgundy and is where the parcel takes its name.

Dark and concentrated aromas of black and bramble fruits with added toasted oak spice. Powerful and intense, yet retains excellent vibrancy from the silky, soft tannins and forward, ripe fruit that combine to keep everything in check. Further dark black fruits fuse with toasted cedar and black pepper spice.

Gentle, yet sophisticated, with highly complex red cherry, spice and freshly ground pepper flavours.

Subtle bouquet combining hints of vanilla, liquorice, and caramel. Complex, rich, and full-bodied on the palate.

Dark garnet with aromas of mixed dark fruits, fresh cherries and a hint of prunes and spice.
A rich palate with a lovely fine structure displaying a medley of berry fruit flavours, cedar, spice and a long persistent finish incorporating flavours of freshly ground coffee beans and toasty oak.

This forward drinking Pinot shows dried cranberry/berry fruit with earth and tobacco notes. The body is medium weight yet carries immense waves of flavours, including sarsaparilla, pomegranate and smoke. A well-integrated wine that is superb now. A wonderful accompaniment to thick, oak-grilled pork chops, wild game, or coq au vin.
