Browse by Grape - Sangiovese
Its much more than the great Chianti grape - its the most widely planted grape of Italy makes some of the country's best wines as well as some of the worst. Found all over the country its best examples tend to be in Tuscany and Umbria. It is also the sole variety found in Brunello di Montalcino and forms the base for not just Chianti but also most super Tuscan wines. Sangiovese is now found in abundance in both north and south America.
