With over 300 years of winemaking history behind them Rustenberg's position as one of the country's top estates is not questioned. Their Chardonnays are potentially the country's best, and with the advent of a new winery, tasting and storage facility their position gets stronger with every vintage. Over 100 hectares of vines on the lower slopes of the Simonsig mountains are perfectly placed to enjoy the microclimate that ripens the grapes so evenly and fully. The estate has embraced the overseas market as well as new tchnology, and owner Simon Barlow's focussed vision of quality at every stage, from grape to bottle, puts Rustenberg at the forefront of the new wave of South African wine
