This Domaine Horgelus red wine is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tannat, the latter being a local grape variety making rich and powerful reds. The wine has a fabulous concentration with aromas of blackcurrant, licquorice and spices. On the palate it has soft, ripe tannins to support the dark fruit flavours. Smooth and deeply flavoured it is the ideal accompaniment to grilled or roast meats and soft cheeses.

On the palate, it’s medium bodied, fruit forward and supple with soft tannins and lively acidity giving it an easy, refreshing flow. The fruit is pure and crunchy complemented by a gentle spice note and the finish is smooth, clean and moreish.
