The fruit for Trentham Estate's Pinot Noir is picked from their best vineyard: the grapes ripened slowly and evenly to result in great fruit quality.

The Kalfu ranges are linked to the sea creatures depicted on the labels: Molu means 'where the sun sets' - historically it was believed that, during the day, stars would hide in the sea and become starfish.

A complex and evocative nose of cherry, spice and wild flower with hints of raspberry and forest floor. A polished almost pretty midpalate offers juicy redcurrant fruits and a perhaps surprising powerful array of floral and mixed berry notes .

Montes Alpha sits nicely above the Classic range and offers superb value. This ruby red Pinot Noir boasts light cherry/strawberry fruit with a light dusting of ripe tannins. Very easy on the palate.

Villa Wolf Pinot Noir is warm and medium-bodied, with forward, dark cherry fruit, a firm structure and a spicy mid-palate. Six months of barrique aging gives it a smoky depth and a nice backbone of earthy tannins. Knocks much village Burgundy back into the Rhine without a splash!

Ruby in colour with complex aromas of raspberry and cherry, with a hint of spice and black cherry. Medium to light bodied wine with lovely soft tannins, giving this wine it’s lovely long finish.

This is Paul Cluver's entry level Pinot Noir, so named to replicate the village classification in Burgundy.
