The Pol Roger Winston Churhill is clear yellow-gold in colour, the wine is overt and generous with hints of fresh butter, nuts and even tobacco. The initial freshness tends to give way to a more powerful range of deeper aromas such as liquorice, wood and leather and reveals the great complexity which is a hallmark of the cuvee.

The nose reveals notes of citrus zest, candied fruit and flowers combined with hints of dried apricot along with slight notes of spice and minerality. The palate is fresh, balanced, mineral and offers a good tension. In the mouth it expresses notes of citrus zest, green lemon zest and slight notes of apple, dried apricot and peach.
