The Bourgogne Rouge from 3 parcels of 60 year old vines. Aged in oak but no new wood (1-3 year old barrels). Delicious, juicy and seductive, Rich, sweet nose. In palate is broad, but has nice shapely edges too. A good piquancy of acidity. Plum skins and some ripe blackberries
The purity of Chardonnay mixed with the richness of the Mediterranean climate of the Mâconnais region. A supple wine with a citrus character and white fruits. The concentration is balanced by a fresh, fruity length.
On the nose red berries and spice, complemented by nuts and a hint of oak; on the palate notes of liquorice are detectable. A big brute of a wine, the mighty Tannat takes time to reveal its charms. The tannins can be tempered by double jugging, and a good hour in the Decanter. The results are marvellous.
This Cotes du Rhone was harvested at night to prevent oxidation and avoid the use of SO2, this keeps the freshness and protects the natural aromas of the grapes. The wine was then vinified without the addition of any sulphites. A deep ruby in colour, the palate is elegant and well balanced with red fruits, spice notes and soft tannins.
From the heart of the Loire Valley this wine is pure opulence. All the fruit is from a small limestone-rich vineyard in the heart of the Loire. Honeyed pear, quince, yellow apple dominate the palate with a slight smoky quality. The palate is rich yet zippy, complex yet fresh. Try with shellfish or pork. Bright ruby in colour, with juicy cherries and red berries on the nose. There is a hint of smoke, that pairs nicely with subtle graphite notes. The palate is plump with plums and cherries, yet light-footed, with fresh acidity and fine tannins gently framing the core of cool red and black fruit. Hints of earthiness and smokiness add to the complexity on the finish. Soft, supple and ready to drink now.
