Luke O'Cuinneagain grew up amongst the vineyards of the Constantia Valley and that is where the passion for wine and the vine started. Always looking for new and innovative ideas, Luke travelled to and worked in many of the world's famous wine centres after his studies.
He worked first in Bordeaux at Château Fieuzal, before going to Alsace. In 2006 he spent many months at Screaming Eagle in the Napa Valley, USA. In 2007 he worked under the tutelage of Hubert de Bouard at Chateau Angelus. On the South African wine front he spent five years at Rustenberg Wines in Stellenbosch before joining the team at Glenelly. As well as being the wine maker, Luke also has responsibility for our sales in the domestic South African and neighbouring markets.
