Rich dark fruit, notes of blueberry, accompanied by velvety dark chocolate and cocoa. Hints of cedar and a subtle smokiness are complemented by undertones of blackberry and molasses.

Merlot-based, this wine has great structure with mouth-filling spicy fruit and fine length. Lovely plummy fruit is backed by fine tannins and the added nuance of Cabernet Franc.

This Grand Cru Riesling is produced by Bruno Sorg and comes from the steeply terraced Grand Cru Pfersigberg vineyard near Eguisheim. The wine is dry and complex with the classic ripe red apple flavours and a steely dryness combined with refreshing acidity. Will age well over 10 years.

A cracking wine, only produced in the best years. 100% sauvignon grapes aged in new oak to give an interesting and full wine with elegance. On the nose, there are notes of almond and exotic fruits which are followed in the mouth by more floral, elegant flavours.

A blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Dense ruby/purple, with notes of blueberry pie interwoven with charcoal, liquorice, some chalky crushed rocks and a distinctive floral note. This wine is straw yellow in colour with youthful highlights. It is lightly spiced on the nose from the partial oak ageing, which gives way to a fine, floral and ripe citrus fruit character. On the palate, the wine has good length with ripe pear flavours continuing through to the finish.

This wine shows a deep red colour with shades of ruby on the rim of the glass. To the nose, at the time of release, it revealed a delicate balance between ripe red berry aromas and those of spices and smokiness. Over time, the bouquet has grown more complex, showing aromas of leather, coffee beans and raisins. Mouthfeel is as firm, elegant and smooth as one should expect from a Rioja Gran Reserva, with a surprisingly long and fresh finish.

Only made in the finest years, this ultra-traditional Rioja is much sought after.
