Pretty self-explanatory here, this is Timmerman’s Strawberry fruit lambic. Fresh and drinkable, this deep-red coloured beer is fruity-sweet as opposed to sugary-sweet. Aromas and flavours of tart ripe strawberries, bubblegum, and strawberry marmalade are tamed by a high carbonation and light body. It’s very refreshing!

Timmerman’s Framboise is described as being a fruit lambic but it lacks the identifying “funky” acidity of that style. By adding natural raspberry flavouring to a lambic and letting it mature in oak barrels, the end result is a delightful pink beer (yes, beer!) with aromas and flavours of berries and candy sugar. Highly carbonated, this sweet-and-slightly sour beer is a thirst quencher.

A gorgeous coppery colour and creamy head gives a fine indication of the richness of the beer. Aromas and plenty of flavours of fruity apricot, figs, and cloves are balanced by a nice hoppiness. Its rich malty body and creamy carbonation are punctuated by a finish that has a refreshing feel and a long lingering Belgian spice.

Another Timmerman’s fruit lambic, this time cherry-flavoured! Produced in the same manner as the Framboise and Strawberry, the Kriek has rather sweet aromas of cherries, almonds, and maybe even Dr. Pepper. The flavour is not as sweet as the nose implies, rather there are some hints of acidity alongside the sweet cherries. Highly-carbonated and dry, expect a rather sweet beer with a touch of tart.

The most famous of the Trappist beers and best enjoyed in its distinctive Trappist chalice, this is without doubt a beer of great tradition. The Cistercian Trappist monks of Chimay have been brewing since 1862, with their abbey being located on the site of a well which provides pure water for the beer.
Proclaimed as the favourite of many, the Chimay White is a beautiful example of a Trappist Belgian Tripel ale. This rich golden-coloured ale is bottle-conditioned which adds a gorgeous complexity to the beer whilst allowing for long-term cellaring.
The hops play a prominent role in the aromas and flavour of this Belgian tripel with distinct notes of white raisins, green apples and florals. Its taste is mostly reminiscent of caramel, plums spices and a complementary bitterness. A long, sweet aftertaste and a full and creamy body are more reasons as to why this Trappist ale is so well-regarded.
