Made only when our assemblage tastings of La Côte Sauvage reveal two outstanding barrels - 'Deux Barriques' - that merit bottling in their own right. Presented in a wooden gift box vintages include the celebrated triumvate of 2010, 2011 and 2012 with vintages from 2015 onwards released as cru Cairanne AOC.

The Mercurey V.V. from Raquillet is made from 60-year-old vines and offers a ripe, spicy, and densely fruited nose of violets, dark berries and dried herbs. In the mouth, dense, delicious and velvety flavors with fine complexity on the impressively long finish.

In the glass this wine is a deep cherry red colour. Vibrant, ripe Pinot on the nose, with cherry, raspberry and a touch of herbs. On the palate, the wine is supple, finessed, fruit forward, with a slightly savoury finish.

High up in the ‘slopes of schist’ in the rugged, mountainous terroir of Séguret lies a single vineyard so predominantly planted with Grenache Noir (intermingled only here and there with some Syrah) that the resulting wine – Les Coteaux Schisteux – comes close to being one of the purest expressions of Grenache Noir in the southern Rhône Valley.

Started in 1910 by Jean-Baptiste Pillot, the domaine is now run by Jean-Marc who has quietly turned his domaine into one of the finest of Chassagne Montrachet. Smooth and ripe, delicious to drink now and over the next few years.

Bright ruby colour with garnet hues, this wine opens with a refined nose of red cherry, wild strawberry and a subtle forest floor earthiness. Floral hints, perhaps violet, peek out alongside soft spice and delicate mineral undertones. On the palate it is elegant, medium-bodied: fresh acidity supports polished tannins with clean red fruit flavours complemented by subtle herbal or underbrush notes. The finish is of good length, showing purity of fruit and a graceful mineral thread. While very enjoyable now, it still has capacity to evolve for several more years.

Strawberry fruit balanced with silky tannins, perfectly weighted and structured. A great example of Pinot Noir at its most appealing.

From 40- to- 80-year-old vines, this is really elegant for village Gevrey with superb purity, very fine, deliciously ripe black fruit. Sourced from various plots from all round Gevrey-Chambertin, it is a complete expression of the appellation. Very lovely.

The nose has wonderful grapefruit zest bitterness, with some gentle floral influenced honey. The palate in bright and clean acidity, and a voluptuous depth of stone fruit on the mid-palate. with subtle smokiness. It is a highly complex village wine that should evolve well for many years.

Louis Guntrum Oppenheim Herrenberg Auslese is a sweet white German Riesling from the Rheinehessen.

Grapes for this wine were dried naturally in the hot Sicilian Sun, adding intensity and a silky texture to this well-balanced red.

Les Sorts ‘Jove’ is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan, partial whole cluster carbonic maceration.
Evocative nose with beautiful notes of rose petals, pink pepper, strawberry and cranberry. Gentle tannins, with a stony minerality.

Deep ruby in colour. On the nose the delicate perfume unfolds with toasted and spicy characters at first, followed by liquorice, ripe red berry fruits and finally some mineral and balsamic notes. The palate is delicate and subtle, with silky tannins, a rounded body and an elegant, long lasting finish. A unique and complex wine.

With its thread of fine long lasting bubbles, this lively wine has a fruity nose and grilled almond aromas. Lightly sparkling and elegant on the palate. Made in the traditional champagne method this is a great alternative to Prosecco.

The fruity nose of bright red apple and notes of lime is dominating, along with notes of white flower, honeysuckle and acacia flower aromas. On the palate, the bubbles are delicate, and a welcome green spine of celery and lime cordial rein in those rich flavours and textures, making for a complex fizz with a ripe strawberry finish.

It seems crazy that grand Cru fizz can be obtained so cheaply. Superb.

100% Chardonnay from Grand Cru grapes. This is light without lacking power with yellow fruit, cooked lemon and a hint of shortbread. Classy Champagne.

Tio Pepe, the world's best-selling Fino sherry, has been refreshing palates since the 19th century, when a young Sherry entrepreneur from Jerez, in southern Spain, discovered his uncle was ageing barrels of a delicious pale, dry style of sherry. By way of tribute, he named the new wine after his uncle, who was affectionately known as "Tio Pepe". It's ultra-dry, crisp and refreshing.

Aged following a biological aging in the cool and humid air of the port town of El Puerto de Santa María, where the flor grows in ideal environmental conditions.
Pale straw colour, dry, light and smooth. This Fino is laced with scents of the sea and profound “flor” aromas. Clean and fresh, with a slight taste of tangy yeast.

Nose: nicely balances the characteristics of Palo Cortado with Pedro Ximénez. There are dark, caramelized notes and molasses with a clear smoky side, but also more mineral and tangy notes. Nice tobacco. Orange peel. Saline hints. Toffee. Roasted almonds. Also quite a lot of peppery touches.

Mouth: same impressions, it’s full-bodied and off-dry, and provides plenty of spicy notes, chocolate coated nuts, figs and toffee. Then again there’s this tangy, salty note behind it, slightly muted by the Pedro Ximénez. Sweet Turkish coffee. Hints of bread crust. Hazelnuts and a whiff of smoke in the aftertaste.

A very tasty Bajan rum, this 5 year old from Doorly's is a balanced spirit, typical of the region, and offers plenty of tropical fruit.
