Trentham Estate's 'The Family' range of wines are from estate-grown Italian varieties and celebrate their Italian heritage's influence on grape growing and winemaking.

A joyful expression of Malbec from higher altitude vineyards.

Each vintage, from the base in Cairanne, selected exceptional Grenache and Syrah are picked from the best Côtes du Rhône Villages to make Les Coteaux, which is then enriched with classified wine from Séguret, Sablet and the cru of Cairanne.

Aromas of boxwood, wild juniper and cistus flowers give way to notes of red fruit, cherry and redcurrant. The sensation in the mouth is delicate, smooth and balanced with a succulently fruity and spicy finish.

A weighty, ripe and generous right bank Claret.

Deep ruby red with a subtle garnet rim, it opens with vibrant aromas of cherry and red plum enriched by notes of liquorice and a faint trace of violet. The palate is medium bodied and silky showing juicy fruit at the front, balanced by polished tannins and a fresh seam of acidity. There’s a savoury edge, minerality, a touch of iron or earthy stone that gives complexity. The finish lingers nicely on red fruit and spice, soft but well-structured. A wine that’s enjoyable now but has enough backbone to benefit from short-term ageing.

Grapes for this wine were dried naturally in the hot Sicilian Sun, adding intensity and a silky texture to this well-balanced red.

Les Sorts ‘Jove’ is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan, partial whole cluster carbonic maceration.
Evocative nose with beautiful notes of rose petals, pink pepper, strawberry and cranberry. Gentle tannins, with a stony minerality.
