Deep, intense purple colour. Blackcurrant and blackberry aromas. Powerful entry but supple with very tight tannins.

This Domaine Horgelus red wine is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tannat, the latter being a local grape variety making rich and powerful reds. The wine has a fabulous concentration with aromas of blackcurrant, licquorice and spices. On the palate it has soft, ripe tannins to support the dark fruit flavours. Smooth and deeply flavoured it is the ideal accompaniment to grilled or roast meats and soft cheeses.

Deep sultry red in the glass, the nose gives aromas of summer berries and a hint of spice. The palate is well balanced, round and fruity with a big mix of red, blue and black fruits. This is a round fleshy wine, pleasant to drink even at an early age offering ripe fruity aromas and a lovely balance in the mouth with supple tannins.
An excellent value Bordeaux, the wine offers rich red fruit on a palate that is supple and round. The silky tannins blend easily with the fruit character and pairs beautifully with dishes like braised lamb or steak.
