Fabulously perfumed stuff, and possibly the very best Soave Clsssico in existence. The reason lies both in the vineyards, which are vigorously maintained, and the rigorous fruit selection of the bought-in grapes. The wine is rich and balanced and with a searing flavour sadly absent from most modern Soave.

Approachable, yet satisfyingly complex, style of Nebbiolo. A great introduction to this varietal at an accessible price-point.

Intense ruby-red in colour, it displays aromas of black cherries, prunes, spice and white pepper. The mouth feel is full-bodied, velvety and elegant, with soft yet firm tannins and a long, lingering finish. Ideal with pizza, pasta with rich meat sauces. Excellent also with lamb and mature cheeses.

This Valpolicella from the hills of the Classico area is a delicious example of the wine this area is famous for. Corvina expresses its vibrant and quaffable character with fresh and bright cherry flavours.

A dry, minerally and textured Riesling that shows the potential for the variety in Piemonte.

Proper grown-up, textural Chardonnay from the Campo Fiorito vineyard, a 5 hectare north-east facing plot on the stunning Il Cascinone estate.

Intense straw yellow, crystal clear and it has a bouquet floral with notes of jasmine and white flowers, vegetable notes such as green tea, fruity with notes of green apple, pear, pineapple and citrus fruits. Pleasantly fresh, mineral, smooth, balanced and persistent.

Intense ruby-red colour, with a complex bouquet, reminiscent of cherries, dried berries and toasted almonds. In the mouth it is full-bodied yet smooth and elegant with a silky texture. The finish is long and lingering, with a burst of spiced cherries and bright fruit and earthiness at the end.

Rounded and elegant Sicilian white wine from Colomba Bianca's organic vineyards. Bursting with white peach, orange zest and lime. One the nose the wine is floral and enticing. This is proper Mediterranean drinking!

Deep purple-red colour and an intense aroma of blackberries and blueberries. The palate is soft and silky, bursting with spicy flavours of black pepper, dark chocolate, wild berries and vanilla. The tannins are elegant, yet persistent.

A classic, youthful Valpolicella with approachable ripe cherry fruit and a rounded, gently spicy character from six months ageing in large oak casks.

Made from a very expressive primitivo grape, it’s truly inviting. Aromas of spring and summer fruit with undertones of strawberries shining through. The taste is both subtle and balanced, as well as being persistent on the palate, with a fresh acidity.

The characteristics of this wine are it's typical deep ruby colour, vinous bouquet and dry harmonic taste. It is produced from on the best Sangiovese and Montepulciano grapes and mellowed in oak barrels.

This estate has been transformed over the past five years to organic cultivation, taking advantage of the hot, dry conditions that prevent rot. The wine is blended from a mixture of indigenous grapes, Trebbiano, Passerina and Pecorino. Unoaked, elegant and full bodied, with a nice floral nose, rich flavours and the fruit giving a long balanced dry finish.

Led by Valentino Sciotti and consulted by Alberto Antonini, this Montepulciano is produced in a forward, approachable style. Ruby red with violet highlights, it has cherry, sour cherry and blackberry aromas are supported with an intense balsamic note.

Light, bright lemon in colour with a lively, freshly cut pear and baked bread character on the nose. Good structure and body, it has lovely elegance on the palate with ripe pears, a touch of sherbet.

This wine is ruby red in colour, with purple hues. This Negroamaro is intense with notes of blackberries and blackcurrants. It is medium bodied and velvety, with good balance and savoury notes on the finish.

The wine is straw-yellow with green reflections. On the nose it has notes of jasmine, basil and grapefruit, sensations of tomato leaf and fresh laurel leaves. On the palate it is minerally and sapid, with scents of aromatic herbs as oregano and mint.

The Lagrein grape is indigenous to Trentino and thought to be related to Syrah. It makes great food wine, combining vibrant bitter cherry and plum fruit with darker, spicier notes. The 2019 vintage Bottega Vinai was awarded 3 'Harpers Wine Stars' in 2022, including the overall 'Star of Italy'!

This wine is intense ruby red in colour with purple hues. On the nose, it has aromas of morello and marasca cherries, notes of small red berries and sweet spices. The palate is bright and balanced with a long finish.

Deep dark red in colour with a dark purple core, this is a wine bursting with blueberry fruit and spice on the nose. There is a touch of sour cherry on the palate, boosted by powerful blackberry and dark plums and a chunky, fruit-packed finish.

A fine, single estate Gavi di Gavi from a 5 hectare plot on the La Battistina estate - textured and complex whilst retaining bright acidity.

Quite rich in texture compared to most Gavi but still soft and gentle. Medium-bodied and silky with plenty of juicy peach and pear fruit alongside stoney minerality. Perfect summer drinking...or for when you want to be reminded of summer!
