Cloudy Bay is less famous for its fizz, but we think these are terrific wines and just as good (if not better) than their famous Sauvignon Blanc. This bottle is made only from Chardonnay.

Recioto Giovanni Allegrini is deep ruby red in color and has a spicy bouquet with hints of dried fruit. It is full and velvety on the palate.

This wine is an explosion of dried fruit flavours and hints of frangipani notes on the nose. The palate is exciting and vibrant, dried apricots and dried pineapple flavours are very expressive and there is great play between the sweetness and racy acidity on the palate. This is a hall mark of a great sweet wine as it does not leave a sweet and cloying sensation in the mouth, but rather of freshness and balance.

Clos Sant Pau has a golden colour with greenish hues. It has an intense, and fresh nose. Aromas of orange peel and white truffle. On the palate, it presents itself as an elegant sweet wine with a predominance of white fruit and light touches of Mediterranean herbs: fennel and lemon verbena.

Tokaj Classic Tokaji Aszu 5 Puttonyos, botrytised, sweet, dessert wine of Hungary. This truly classic dessert wine made from grapes affected by noble rot has notes of orange, oriental spice and apricot. The sweetness is beautifully balanced by taught acidity which means it's never cloying. The 5 Puttonyos refers to the traditional method of determining how sweet the wine would be - baskets (puttonyos) of the botrytised grapes would be added to the must, and the more that were added, the sweeter the result would be. Nowadays the classification is given by the residual sugar left, ranging from 3-6 Puttonyos, 6 being the sweetest. This cuvee is made from 50% Furmint, 30% Lindenleaf and 20% Muscat, with 153 g/l residual sugar. This is top quality Tokay from a well known and sought after producer. Try with fruit tarts or foie gras.

The wine displays a beautiful, brilliant chestnut colour with russet hints. Its incredibly intense and rich aromas feature dried fruit, candied fruit and caramel. The palate offers a smooth and fresh mouthfeel, carried by a beautiful acidity and distinct notes of dried fruit, culminating in a very long, elegant and velvety finish.

The nose is delicate, elegant and incredibly sophisticated, with floral notes of violets mingling with aromas of graphite, liquorice and blackberries. The true style and potential of this wine show themselves in a perfect interplay between the aromatics and structure; in the harmony between body and elegance, culminating in a spicy finish which is drier than one would expect. This is probably one of the best Vintage Ports of the past 10 years – its structure, acidity, sweetness and beautifully balanced tannins promise excellent ageing potential. This is an oloroso which has been sweetened with a touch of Pedro Ximenez to create a style of sherry called 'amoroso'. This name, which means 'loving', acknowledges the smoothness achieved through the long aging period. A beautifully balanced and silky sherry with notes of plums and dried fruits.

Well rounded but tangy, saline, nutty with traces of acidity and tannin, those crisp Manzanilla characteristics lie just below the calm Amontillado surface. Very complex and interesting with a dry saline, nutty finish.

Lustau’s Fino del Puerto has an intensely fruity character in its infancy with notes of ripe yellow apples, pears and white peach all present. In many ways it is more like white wine than a Sherry on the nose. The palate gives away its origins though; it is very pure with a savoury backbone.
