In each of the three ranges from this winery - Serbal, Catalpa and Atamisque - there is a blend, an assemblage. Catalpa Assemblage is comprised of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec in varying proportions depending on the vintage. 60% of this wine is aged for 12 months in new French oak barrels, 40% in stainless steel prior to blending and a further 6 months in bottle prior to release. Crafted in a fairly extravagant style this is a lovely, plump, velvet textured delight with clever use of oak in evidence, capable of developing very nicely for 8 - 10 years.

Bouquet: dark berry fruits with undertones of dried herbs and cigar box.
Palate: Elegant and refined with lovely berry fruits framed by supple savory tannins.
Grapes were destemmed, sorted and crushed into small batches for ferment. Wines were fermented with wild yeast, gaining layered complexity. Extended time on skins post fermentation gave the wine greater depth and savoury characteristics. The wine was pressed, and racked to oak for maturation. It was then left to evolve in oak for 16 months before blending for bottling.

Plums and fruitcake, generous and smooth and concentrated.

A classic claret. Cherry red colour with an intensive floral nose followed by a rich fruity palate dominated by crunchy red fruit notes. A very aromatic, well-balanced but robust wine.

A fine, elegant wine with plump red berried fruit and delicate hints of oak spice. Smooth and supple on the palate, with fine tannins and a long, persistent finish.

Wonderfully complex nose, with aromas of cassis and plums, swathed in savoury nuance with hints of truffle, roasted meats coffee and fresh leather. Rich yet graceful with succulent, soft, velvety tannins. At its peak right now, this delicious red still possesses plenty of life and will continue to drink for a few more years yet.

Château Feytit-Guillot offers rich flavours of dark fruits such as plum and black cherry, with layers of spice, earth, and fine tannins. The wines typically have a silky, smooth mouthfeel and a long, lingering finish, making them both elegant and deeply satisfying.

The nose is aromatic. It reveals woody notes, cassis cream, blackberry and slight notes of violet associated with touch of spices, chocolate, Sichuan pepper (discreet) as well as a very slight hints of tea and an imperceptible hint of bell pepper. The palate is fruity, mineral and well-balanced. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, plum and slight notes of cassis associated with hints of redcurrant, toasted oak, chocolate and sweet spices. Tannins are fine and well-built. The finish is slightly suave.

Dark in colour, with a powerful nose of ripe black fruits and violet notes. An elegant and complex palate. A dense bouquet with a beautiful tannic base, fruity and fresh on the finish, well balanced.

Exhibiting aromas of rich currant fruit and creamy new oak, the 2019 Siran is medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, with lively acids and ripe, powdery tannins that assert themselves on the youthfully chewy finish. This is a flavourful, nicely balanced wine that will reward a bit of bottle age.

Like other Bordeaux wine chateaux in the Saint Estephe appellation, Chateau Cos Labory takes the first part of their name from the famous hill of COS.
On average, the vines are 35 years of age & the terroir of Cos Labory is gravel and limestone soil with patches of clay typical of the St. Estephe appellation.
A charming Saint-Estèphe worthy of its classification... The Château, a domaine ranked fifth in the Médoc, in the Saint-Estèphe appellation is managed by the Audoy family, who make balanced and sincere wines that respect the land.
Crisp, fragrant, with solid but well coated tannins, this vintage is impressive.

This is the Second wine of Château Léoville Poyferré, it benefits from the same care as its big brother, both in the vineyard and in the cellars. Bursting with fruit, this bright, attractive wine is accessible in its youth.

The 2015 vintage comes with a nose of baked black cherry fruit and cigar box. This follows through on to the palate with a medium body, lovely rich fruit and well balanced earthy taste. Soft tannins on the mid palate and a medium finish.

This St Emilion Grand Cru really hit the mark in 2018 with 97 points from James Suckling. From a great vintage, this claret, aged in new oak, is "sleek and tight with crunchy berry, mineral and zesty notes on the finish. Complex". Worth tucking away.
Polished with sleek tannins, deep ripe chocolaty fruit and freshness.

A very approachable wine from the Pomerol region, medium bodied with gentle acidity. Ready for drinking now. Silky merlot indeed.

Classic, weighty Claret from St Estephe.

A blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Dense ruby/purple, with notes of blueberry pie interwoven with charcoal, liquorice, some chalky crushed rocks and a distinctive floral note. The wine is succulent and fleshy, with low acidity and layers of fruit. A sensational effort from this cru bourgeois

This superb 5th Growth Pauillac is owned by the Rothschild family, now for the third generation. With vineyards perfectly positioned next to First Growths Lafite and Mouton, the only surprise is its classification isn't higher. A 95-pt masterpiece.

Bright ruby red with a complex bouquet of spices and ripe dark fruits. On the palate the wine offers gentle tannins enhanced with an abundance of fruit intensity, creating the impression of strength and balance. Persistent aftertaste with a repetition of its spices.
