Portugal’s most popular Douro white wine and it is easy to see why. Vinified from grapes grown at high altitude (Planalto translates as “High Plains”) to retain freshness and delicacy in this hot region, this is a deliciously vibrant wine boasting ripe citrus and floral aromas.

Violet glints appear in this wine’s intense ruby red hue. The nose reveals aromas of fruits of the forest, spices and figs. On the palate, you will find Niepoort’s quintessential structure and elegance. It sets off on sweet notes but finishes dry, with a surprisingly assertive acidity. This Late Bottled Vintage is one of the few wines in its category that is bottled with a real cork instead of a bar top closure. Krohn has a well-deserved reputation for the quality of its Colheita Ports. These single year Ports, matured for a long time in wood, develop the mahogany colour of old Tawnies, alongside complex aromas and flavours and a silky texture.

The Bioma Crusted originates from the Pisca vineyard, as for the Bioma Vintage Port. This ancient vineyard (vinha velha) has been converted to organic viticulture and its low yields always result in amazing port wines that showcase the terroir and the vintage. In years where a Vintage Port declaration isn't possible, the wine is released as a crusted port.

Exceptional vintage, widely declared, which will develop over many years to come.
