The third white grape of Bordeaux, but popularity is declining. It makes good quality sweet wine, but less in Sauternes or Barsac nowadays, and more in the Entre-Deux-Mers area. Rarely seen outside blends, its fruity character makes it idea to add to other wines to increase their 'grapiness'.
