An exceptionally elegant rose; fresh nose with light fruit aromas, complex notes of liquorice and hint of angelica. Full of harmony on the palate with delicious red fruit flavours and a suprising spicy finish. Stone fruit and white pepper burst onto the tongue, leading onto a slightly savoury finish. And this is true of Nittardi’s BEN, a long-cherished dream and, since 2012, their first Maremma white wine. BEN is made from 100% Vermentino, a grape varietal indigenous to Tuscany and found along the entire Mediterranean coast. The ideal microclimate here in Southern Maremma, not far from the Tyrrhenian coast, gives BEN its refreshing taste and subtle hint of saline minerality.

A blend of Viognier, Vermentino and Chardonnay, this is crisp and zesty with tropical fruit, lime and apple flavours. Delicious with seafood.
