The nose is delicate, elegant and incredibly sophisticated, with floral notes of violets mingling with aromas of graphite, liquorice and blackberries. The true style and potential of this wine show themselves in a perfect interplay between the aromatics and structure; in the harmony between body and elegance, culminating in a spicy finish which is drier than one would expect. This is probably one of the best Vintage Ports of the past 10 years – its structure, acidity, sweetness and beautifully balanced tannins promise excellent ageing potential. Undoubtedly a great Vintage Port!

Late Bottled Vintage Ports are an increasingly popular style and this unfiltered wine from Krohn is no exception. LBV's are produced from just a single year's crop (but not every year) and with the vintage specified on the bottle, each LBV will express the particular characteristics of that vintage.

Rich, ruby red in colour, this port is filled with intense aromas and flavours of dark fruits. Dominated by tones of cherries and plums, it leaves a delicious taste on the palate which mellows beautifully after each sip.
