The Pol Roger Winston Churhill is clear yellow-gold in colour, the wine is overt and generous with hints of fresh butter, nuts and even tobacco. The initial freshness tends to give way to a more powerful range of deeper aromas such as liquorice, wood and leather and reveals the great complexity which is a hallmark of the cuvee.

Quite subdued but with herbal notes and lemony fruit. Restrained, elegant but ultimately a little lighter than some sauternes. Still very good and reflective of a very good vintage.

This wine has a rich bouquet of fruit with marmalade notes, quince, apricot, passion fruit, and pineapple. Then on the palate, there is a touch of honey and well a balanced citrus feel. This wine is a perfect expression of the terroir all in elegance, freshness, mellow, and delicate. A perfect balance between sweetness and acidity. This wine can age a very long time.

An outstanding red dessert wine that's excellent with chocolate or gateaux.

A denser, richer Filhot this year filled with wonderful concentration. Creme caramel and dried apricot. Sufficient acidity to carry the richness and very long finish. A great value Sauternes.

Fantastic dessert wine - peach, citrus, caramel and vanilla are evident in this wine. It has a lingering finish. Very ripe and pure. A top vintage which will cellar well for another 10 years.

Dominant tones range from fresh to gilded straw, then honey, with the gold becoming more intense with age. These are followed by hues of apple green, silver or gold. Pineau are limpid and of great brilliance. Aromas of white and yellow fruit, honey and acacia blossom. Ageing in wooden barrels gives notes of "rancio": ripe and dried fruit, hazelnut, grilled almond, vanilla and buttered toast.
