The Recanati Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were hand- picked, soft pressed, vinified and aged 8 months in French oak barrels. This creates a wine with a delicate smoky aroma and hints of spices enhanced by plum and blackberry flavors. Enjoy with grilled meat, game and hearty casseroles.

The quintessential all-round Italian red, selected from the l`Aquila province of Abruzzo on the Adriatic coast. Deep purple in colour with intense aromas of blackberries and cherries with rich, robust characteristics that are typical of the region. The palate is intensely spicy with cherryish and jammy black fruit flavours.

This Valpolicella from the hills of the Classico area is a delicious example of the wine this area is famous for. Corvina expresses its vibrant and quaffable character with fresh and bright cherry flavours.

Dark ruby red in colour, full plummy palate with herbal notes and a light finish with a charming softness.

Intense ruby-red in colour, it displays aromas of black cherries, prunes, spice and white pepper. The mouth feel is full-bodied, velvety and elegant, with soft yet firm tannins and a long, lingering finish. Ideal with pizza, pasta with rich meat sauces. Excellent also with lamb and mature cheeses.

A blend of 70% Corvina, 20% Rondinella and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from low-yielding vineyards in Verona. Half of the Corvina grapes are left on the vine for longer, to concentrate the sugar and flavour. About 30% of the blend is aged for 12 months in American and French barriques. The nose shows complex aromas, reminiscent of prune, cherry and redcurrant; the palate is supple with a long finish.

The characteristics of this wine are it's typical deep ruby colour, vinous bouquet and dry harmonic taste. It is produced from on the best Sangiovese and Montepulciano grapes and mellowed in oak barrels.

Led by Valentino Sciotti and consulted by Alberto Antonini, this Montepulciano is produced in a forward, approachable style. Ruby red with violet highlights, it has cherry, sour cherry and blackberry aromas are supported with an intense balsamic note.

Intense ruby-red colour, with a complex bouquet, reminiscent of cherries, dried berries and toasted almonds. In the mouth it is full-bodied yet smooth and elegant with a silky texture. The finish is long and lingering, with a burst of spiced cherries and bright fruit and earthiness at the end.

A classic, youthful Valpolicella with approachable ripe cherry fruit and a rounded, gently spicy character from six months ageing in large oak casks.

Deep dark red in colour with a dark purple core, this is a wine bursting with blueberry fruit and spice on the nose. There is a touch of sour cherry on the palate, boosted by powerful blackberry and dark plums and a chunky, fruit-packed finish.

This wine is ruby red in colour, with purple hues. This Negroamaro is intense with notes of blackberries and blackcurrants. It is medium bodied and velvety, with good balance and savoury notes on the finish.

An innovative baby Super-Tuscan, Dogajolo combines the power and deep flavours of a young wine, with the elegance and balance from the oak ageing. Full bodied, yet soft on the palate with fruity cherry notes interlaced with coffee, vanilla and spice, this is complex and well-developed.

The Lagrein grape is indigenous to Trentino and thought to be related to Syrah. It makes great food wine, combining vibrant bitter cherry and plum fruit with darker, spicier notes. The 2019 vintage Bottega Vinai was awarded 3 'Harpers Wine Stars' in 2022, including the overall 'Star of Italy'!

This wine is intense ruby red in colour with purple hues. On the nose, it has aromas of morello and marasca cherries, notes of small red berries and sweet spices. The palate is bright and balanced with a long finish.

Grapes for this wine were dried naturally in the hot Sicilian Sun, adding intensity and a silky texture to this well-balanced red.

Fruit, spice, length, structure...what more do you need?

Constantly picking up gongs for brilliant value for money (Wine Spectator and others), Ciconia Tinto combines approachability with Alentejo's most likeable features of rich, soft fruit, with a bit of roast and dried fruit notes.

Ciconia, for the benefit of non-twitchers, is the latin genus for the stork, and Ciconia Ciconia is the white stork, which so likes to breed in this region.

A fruity, spicy Portuguese red - generous, fresh and approachable.

Beyra tinto offers an unoaked expression of cruncy berry fruit and spice, with super acidity. Less on tannin, more on flavour.

Red wines from the Dao should always demonstrate a certain succulence from a combination of altitude and granitic soils, but Maias Tinto goes the extra mile. At these even higher vineyards (around 650m), Jaen (Tinta Mencia) captures in the glass delicious crunchy fruit in this medium bodied wine.

Maias is the local name for the Weaver's Broom plant which surrounds the estate here (its yellow flowers blossom in May in this part of Dao, hence its nickname - Maio is the word for May).

The Serra Mãe is made from 100% Castelão, grown on the free-draining, sandy soils West of Palmela. It was naturally fermented (no added yeast), and then subsequently aged, in concrete vats.
