Vinho Verde, the most popular white wine from Portugal, is a deliciously refresing, light wine. "Verde", meaning "Green" refers to the hints of lime colour. It makes a brilliant pairing with any fish, shellfish and poultry.

Constantly picking up gongs for brilliant value for money (Wine Spectator and others), Ciconia Tinto combines approachability with Alentejo's most likeable features of rich, soft fruit, with a bit of roast and dried fruit notes.

Ciconia, for the benefit of non-twitchers, is the latin genus for the stork, and Ciconia Ciconia is the white stork, which so likes to breed in this region.

Portugal’s most popular Douro white wine and it is easy to see why. Vinified from grapes grown at high altitude (Planalto translates as “High Plains”) to retain freshness and delicacy in this hot region, this is a deliciously vibrant wine boasting ripe citrus and floral aromas.

Red wines from the Dao should always demonstrate a certain succulence from a combination of altitude and granitic soils, but Maias Tinto goes the extra mile. At these even higher vineyards (around 650m), Jaen (Tinta Mencia) captures in the glass delicious crunchy fruit in this medium bodied wine.

Maias is the local name for the Weaver's Broom plant which surrounds the estate here (its yellow flowers blossom in May in this part of Dao, hence its nickname - Maio is the word for May).

The Serra Mãe is made from 100% Castelão, grown on the free-draining, sandy soils West of Palmela. It was naturally fermented (no added yeast), and then subsequently aged, in concrete vats.

A great Douro blend expressing crunchy red fruit, with depth and freshness. On the palate, it is elegantly fruity, with a markedly mineral profile. With a superb drinkability owing to its balance, this wine very much exhibits the uncomplicated style that Niepoort set out to achieve.

A blend of indigenous Portugese grapes from a single vineyard. A seductive combination of black cherries, cinnamon & leathery aromas. The palate is both peppery & smooth with ripe mulberry fruit & cedar overtones giving plenty of length.

Ruby in colour with complex aromas of raspberry and cherry, with a hint of spice and black cherry. Medium to light bodied wine with lovely soft tannins, giving this wine it’s lovely long finish.

Fetească Regală (or Royal Maiden in English) is the Royal grape exclusive to Romania. It is a cross between two grape varieties – Fetească Albă and Grasă de Cotnari and again originates from Transylvania. Regală has the aromatic quality of Fetească Albă but is a weightier grape with more body.
The Regală also has a citrusy edge to its character with lots of orange and lemony fruit. Fetească Regală works well with oak and can produce bigger wines with a slightly spicy finish.

Gold yellow in colour with flavours of elderflower and passion fruit. A full-bodied wine, with pleasant flavours of fruits and flowers and fresh acidity that gives this wine a long and soft finish.

Dark purple in colour with a mixture of spice and black forest fruits. Complex flavours of fruit and spice with soft tannins give this wine its lovely velvety finish.

Pale straw in colour with strong herbaceous aromas and just a hint of fennel. Good balance between acidity and body give this wine its long aftertaste.

Straw yellow colour, with aromas of ripe peach and apricot notes and fine oak smoked taste with creamy peach and vanilla with a long and pleasant finish.

What is unique about Franschhoek is the high but good acidity, according to winemaker Ryan Puttick. Expressive tropical aromas tinged with capsicum open up to attractive Cape gooseberry, grapefruit and pineapple fruit flavours balanced by a lively but gentle coated acidity that follows
through to a beautifully fresh finish of pleasing length. A hint of Semillon adds breadth and fills the mid-palate.

Named after the old mill houses that were once famous landmarks in the Valley, this Chenin Blanc features fleshy peach and pineapple aromas supported by a bright burst of citrus and some leesy intrigue

A wine that symbolises longevity, like the legacy of the original Huguenot families which has endured long after they were buried in the town’s original churchyard. Blackcurrants and violets captivate on entry, followed by concentrated dark berry flavours and spicy tobacco oak.

Deep ruby with exuberant mulberry, plum, pepper and modest oak spice supported by soft ripe tannins that provide a well-structured and balanced juicy finish of pleasing length and finesse.

Dark garnet with a bright purple rim. Generous aromas of black cherries, clove and raspberry leading to a smooth and juicy palate with redolent ripe mulberries and glimmers of spice from gentle oaking. Finishes with appealing length and savouriness.
