It is low in alcohol (5%) and bursting with fantastic flavours of fresh raspberries, blackberries and blackcurrants. A dessert wine made from choice white grapes of the Malvasia del Chianti and Pulcinculo (Grechetto Bianco) varieties, selected at harvest-time and are laid out to dry until the beginning of February. The storing and ageing of the wine then takes place in small oak barrels which impart flavours of sweet spice and vanilla to the finished wine. It is amber in colour, the aroma is intense with notes of ripe fruit and it is broad, velvety and mouth-filling on the palate.

This beautiful Ice Wine Cuvée is vinified in stainless steel tanks and aged for about 16 months. For making this wine, the frozen grapes are pressed. This way only the juice and sugar come out of the grapes. This results in a very sweet and aromatic wine.
Bright golden yellow. The bouquet shows fine herbs and delicate nuances of stone fruits and lychee. Notes of pineapple offers exotic nuances in the finish combined with a touch of honey.

Tokaj Classic Tokaji Aszu 5 Puttonyos, botrytised, sweet, dessert wine of Hungary. This truly classic dessert wine made from grapes affected by noble rot has notes of orange, oriental spice and apricot. The sweetness is beautifully balanced by taught acidity which means it's never cloying. The 5 Puttonyos refers to the traditional method of determining how sweet the wine would be - baskets (puttonyos) of the botrytised grapes would be added to the must, and the more that were added, the sweeter the result would be. Nowadays the classification is given by the residual sugar left, ranging from 3-6 Puttonyos, 6 being the sweetest. This cuvee is made from 50% Furmint, 30% Lindenleaf and 20% Muscat, with 153 g/l residual sugar. This is top quality Tokay from a well known and sought after producer. Try with fruit tarts or foie gras.

With its brilliant red appearance and brick red hues on the rim, the wine offers refined aromas of cherries along with a subtle perfumed floral character as well as superb finesse. Essentially the wine is elegant in style, however, the palate presents somewhat of an enigma – initially the fruit and elegance on the nose comes through on the palate, but with gentle extract. It is superbly balanced and fresh, culminating in a somewhat robust and firm finish with a tannic grip. It will be interesting to see this wine develop as it ages, undoubtedly, in a very elegant manner.
